AITA for letting my mother-in-law find out the hard way that I stopped cooking for her?

My MIL (62F) hates my cooking. Every time she comes over, she criticises everything. “Too much salt,” “too bland,” “this isn’t how REAL women cook,” blah blah blah.
I (33F) finally had enough. Instead of arguing, I just stopped cooking for her.
When she and FIL came over for dinner last week, I served everyone else a homemade meal—my husband, my kids, even my FIL. But MIL? I gave her a frozen TV dinner right on a paper plate.
She looked at me in shock and said, “What is this?”
I smiled and said, “Oh, I didn’t want to disappoint you again, so I figured I’d let you pick your own flavours!”
She was furious. She refused to eat, said I was being petty and rude. My husband was laughing, but FIL told me I was being cruel.
Now she’s telling everyone I’m a terrible DIL, and my husband says I should apologise “just to keep the peace.”
AITA?
