AITA for making my in-laws pay for a luxury Airbnb after they called our house “too small” to stay in?

My husband (38M) and I (34F) live in a modest but comfortable three-bedroom home. When his parents planned to visit for a week, we offered our guest room.

They came, looked around, and scoffed. His mom said, “Oh… we were expecting something bigger.” His dad whispered, “I guess we’ll just have to rough it.”

So I said, “No worries! I’ll book you something more suitable.”

I found the most expensive Airbnb in town, a huge mansion with a pool, and sent them the invoice. They were furious, saying I was being sarcastic and ungrateful.

I just smiled and said, “Well, I wouldn’t want you to be uncomfortable!”

Now my husband’s upset, saying I escalated things.
