AITA for not allowing my sister to live with me after she lost her apartment due to not paying rent?

I (29F) live alone in a modest two-bedroom apartment. My sister, Jenna (25F), had been living on her own but recently lost her apartment because she couldn’t pay her rent. She asked me if she could move in with me temporarily while she got back on her feet. At first, I wanted to help, but then I found out that she hadn’t even tried to make a payment in the last few months. She had been out partying and spending money on things she didn’t need, all while avoiding her landlord.

I told her I couldn’t let her stay with me, and that she needed to figure out a more responsible solution. She went ballistic and said I was abandoning her when she needed me the most. Our parents are now calling me “cold-hearted” and saying I’m not being a good sister by turning her away.

I’m not trying to be harsh, but I feel like if I let her move in, I’d just be enabling her irresponsibility. I’ve worked hard for everything I have, and I don’t think I should have to put up with her mess.

AITA for not allowing her to live with me, or should I have made an exception?
