“The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.” – Proverbs 27:12 (NIV)

Discernment is more than instinct—it’s a gift from God that protects your future. Not every open door is a divine opportunity, and not every invitation deserves a yes. Some roads look clear until you're halfway down and realise they were never meant for your feet.
Today, the Spirit of God may be prompting you to pause, reconsider, or even retreat—not out of fear, but wisdom. You are not called to prove your strength by enduring avoidable pain. Prudence is not weakness. It’s a strategy of the wise.
Stop. Pray. Ask again.
The cost of ignoring that nudge may be greater than you think.
If you’ve already taken a step that now feels uncertain, don’t panic. God can still reroute you. He’s not just the God of open doors, but also of wise detours.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to walk with discernment. When danger is ahead, open my eyes to see it clearly and give me the humility to change course. Teach me not to ignore warning signs or rush decisions. I trust Your guidance over my own understanding. In Jesus’ name, amen.
