Prophetic Proverb: Personal

“The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice.” – Proverbs 12:15 (NIV)

Pride will convince you that you're always right. Wisdom will remind you that you're not above correction.

Today, the Voice of God may come not in thunder, but through someone close—an unexpected word, a gentle nudge, or even a critique. If you shut your ears, you may miss the instruction meant to protect your future. Wisdom doesn't just reside in your thoughts; it grows when you open your heart to counsel.

Are you teachable? Or do you only want confirmation of what you already believe? The wise seek truth—even when it's uncomfortable—because they know that correction is a gift, not a threat.

This isn’t about allowing everyone to speak into your life, but learning to recognise when God is using someone to redirect your steps. The way forward may not be through your instincts, but through your humility.

Prayer:

Lord, make me wise enough to listen. Help me to recognise Your voice, even when it comes through others. Protect me from pride and the deception of always thinking I'm right. Make me teachable, correctable, and aligned with Your will.In Jesus’ name, amen.
