“He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favour from the Lord.” – Proverbs 18:22 (NIV)
This isn’t just about romance—it’s about recognition and revelation.
In God’s kingdom, love is not random. When Scripture says “finds a wife,” it speaks of discernment, not just discovery. To find is to perceive what God has hidden in plain sight—a good thing wrapped in process, obedience, and purpose.
God doesn’t release favour without form. When the right connection is made—a connection He ordains—it releases supernatural favour. That’s why marriage is not just a contract. It’s a covenant with consequence. It accelerates destiny when aligned, and delays it when counterfeited.
You don’t need to chase love—you need to become the kind of person God reveals in His timing. A wife is not simply a woman. In God’s eyes, she is a positioned portal through which goodness and favour are delivered into a man’s life. Likewise, a man who can see her rightly must be walking in divine discernment.
This kind of love doesn’t start with pursuit—it starts with preparation.
Prayer:
Lord, prepare me for purposeful love. If I am to be found, let it be by someone walking in wisdom. If I am the one finding, let me see with Your eyes. Teach me to value covenant over connection, and favour over fantasy. May every relationship I enter move me closer to Your divine blueprint.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
