Prophetic Proverb: Love

“The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.” – Proverbs 20:5

Real love isn’t just about chemistry—it’s about discernment. The heart is complex, and what lies beneath the surface often takes time, patience, and spiritual clarity to uncover.

Today, God is calling you to approach love with wisdom, not just emotion. Attraction may bring people together, but only insight can reveal intentions. Ask yourself: Am I being led by desire or by discernment? Not every connection is covenant. Some relationships are sent to distract, while others are sent to develop.

This verse reminds you that hearts carry deep motives, histories, and wounds. It takes spiritual maturity to draw out what’s truly within someone—and to confront what’s within yourself.

Before you pursue or commit, seek understanding. Love with eyes wide open, and ears tuned to the Spirit. When you invite God into the process, He will show you what’s hidden in plain sight.

Prayer:

Lord, give me discernment in matters of the heart. Help me not to be deceived by appearances or led by emotion. Teach me to see others—and myself—with spiritual clarity. Guard me from distractions disguised as destiny. Let every connection be aligned with Your purpose and every motive be revealed in Your light.
