Prophetic Proverb: Love

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” – Proverbs 17:17 (NIV)

True love is revealed not in moments of comfort, but in the chaos of adversity. When life shakes, love steadies. When things fall apart, love leans in.

Relationships rooted in God aren’t just about shared interests—they’re about shared burdens. The person who walks with you through storms is more than a friend; they’re part of your God-given support system. And you are called to be the same.

Today, you may feel disappointed by someone's silence or absence. Or perhaps you're carrying guilt for not showing up like you wanted to. Either way, this is a reminder: love shows up. Not just with gifts or words, but with presence and loyalty.

Ask yourself: Who do I stand with in adversity? And who stands with me? Strengthen those bonds. Nurture covenant-level friendships. Love is not a feeling—it’s faithfulness.

Prayer:

Lord, teach me to love faithfully and show up when it matters. Help me recognise and honour those You’ve sent into my life as true friends. Give me wisdom to be loyal, discerning, and present through both joy and adversity. In Jesus’ name, amen.
