Prophetic Proverb: Love

“Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.” – Proverbs 10:12 (NIV)

Love is not always loud. Sometimes, it's quiet restraint. It's the choice to let something go when every part of you wants to hold on to the offence. It's the decision to forgive when bitterness would be easier.

Proverbs 10:12 reminds us that love has a covering power—not to ignore wrongs, but to protect the relationship, the purpose, and the peace. When hatred enters a room, it divides. But when love enters, it heals. This is not about tolerating abuse or injustice. It's about walking in a maturity that refuses to mirror hate with hate.

Today, you may face someone or something that tries to pull you into conflict. Don’t take the bait. Love is your boundary, and wisdom is your strength.

Prayer:

Lord, teach me how to love like You. Let my heart not be quick to stir up conflict, but instead, quick to cover, forgive, and restore. Help me to respond with grace, even when it’s hard. Let my love be fierce, not fragile. In Jesus’ name, amen.
